Wharton High School

Principal

My professional journey in education began in 1992 as a guest teacher in the New Orleans
Public School System and evolved into a lifelong commitment to serving students, families, and
communities. In 1994, I officially began my teaching career as a fifth-grade teacher, later
serving in various instructional and leadership roles throughout Louisiana and Texas.
In 2005, I began my Texas journey with Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District, where I
served as a Reading Interventionist, Language Arts teacher, Academic Achievement Specialist,
Behavior Interventionist, and Assistant Principal. I later served as an Assistant Principal at
Cypress Springs High School and Associate Principal at Vistas High School in Klein Independent
School District.
In 2025, I was blessed with the opportunity to serve in my first principalship at Wharton High
School. Today, I proudly serve as the Principal of Tiger Nation and am honored to be a part of
the Wharton ISD family and community.
My journey has taught me that leadership is more than a title it is about service, relationships,
accountability, advocacy, and creating opportunities for others to succeed. I am committed to
ensuring that every scholar is supported, challenged, valued, and empowered to reach their
greatest potential.
I am grateful for every chapter that prepared me for this moment, and I do not take the
opportunity to serve Wharton High School lightly. I am proud to lead alongside an incredible
team of educators, staff, families, and community partners who believe in our scholars and the
future of Tiger Nation.
I am proud to serve. I am honored to lead. And I believe together, Tiger Nation is Destined 2B
